ACCJC (Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges) A part of WASC - the Commission evaluates and accredits public and private institutions of higher education that offer one or more educational programs of two academic years in length leading to the  associate degree and who seek accreditation under ACCJC criteria.

CCCCO (California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office) is the administrative branch of the California Community College system. Located in Sacramento, this state agency provides leadership and technical assistance to the 108 community colleges and 72 community college districts in California. It is also responsible for allocating state funding to the colleges and districts. The Chancellor's Office operates under the guidance of the Board of Governors, which sets policy and provides long-range planning and guidance to the Chancellor and his staff.

Full-Term Enrollment Includes all students who were enrolled and received a grade at any time during the semester; Reported to the state on MIS report

FTEF (Full-Time Equivalent Faculty) Used to approximate one full-time employee. 

FTES (Full-Time Equivalent Student) Used for apportionment funding in the California Community College System.  One FTES is approximately equal to 525 student classroom contact hours.

In-Term Enrollment Includes all students who were enrolled as of the first day and/or census day of the semester

PfE (Performance for Excellence) Mutual commitment by the State of California and the California Community College (CCC) system towards achieving performance targets in five areas

Retention Rate (Student) Calculated using the CCCCO's definition:   (in student grades) Retention = A,B,C,D,F,I,CR,NC / A,B,C,D,F,I,CR,NC,W   

SRTK (Student Right-to-Know) Federally required disclosure of BC Completion Rates, Transfer Rates, and Academic Standing of first time, full-time students seeking a degree, certificate or transfer after three years

Success Rate (BC Students) Calculated using the CCCCO's definition:  (in student grades) Success = A,B,C,CR / A,B,C,D,F,I,CR,NC,W  

WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges) One of six regional associations that accredit public and private schools, colleges, and universities in the United States.
